Batch Zero is independently operated from Singapore by Mark Rivers. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit batchzerotry.com, apply for a tester round, confirm your email, take part in a test, place an order or contact us.

Information we collect

  • Tester-list and application information: your first name, email address, selected market and currency context, application answers, feedback commitment, Singapore delivery-eligibility confirmation, and records of the consent wording and application time.
  • Email confirmation and preferences: whether you confirmed your email, your tester-email subscription status, and unsubscribe or suppression records needed to honour your choice.
  • Order and delivery information: if you are selected and choose to claim a product, Shopify Checkout collects the information needed to process the order, payment and delivery.
  • Feedback: survey answers, ratings, photos, videos or other material you choose to provide after a test.
  • Site, cookie and advertising information: device and browser information, IP-derived approximate location, pages viewed, referral and campaign parameters, cookie or advertising identifiers, consent preferences, and application events used to operate, secure, measure and improve the store.

How we use information

We use information to operate and secure the store; receive and review applications; confirm the email address you control; send tester invitations, application outcomes and related fulfilment messages; match applicants with relevant product rounds; provide support; fulfil selected claims; collect feedback; measure campaign performance; attribute applications; and improve our website and advertising.

Required tester-email consent

The tester-email consent box is required to complete an application and is not selected by default. By selecting it, you confirm that you are 18 or older and agree to receive the confirmation email, tester invitations and your Round 01 outcome. You must also complete the email-confirmation step before the application is treated as confirmed.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in an email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing means you will no longer receive tester invitations or Round 01 results, although we may keep a minimal suppression record so that we do not email you again. There is no paid membership, automatic order or recurring charge.

Cookies and advertising measurement

Essential cookies and similar technologies are used for functions such as security, market and currency selection, form operation and remembering privacy choices. Where consent is required, analytics and advertising technologies are used only after the applicable choice is enabled in Cookie preferences.

If enabled, advertising providers such as Meta may receive events through technologies including the Meta Pixel and/or Conversions API. These events can include page views, product views and a successful application event, together with browser, device, campaign and cookie identifiers. We use this information for advertising measurement, attribution, audience optimisation and fraud prevention. Opening the application page, clicking Continue or submitting an invalid form is not treated as a successful application event.

Sharing and service providers

We do not sell tester-list or application information for money. Information may be processed by Shopify and by service providers needed to operate the store, email confirmation and delivery, customer support, analytics, security and advertising measurement. If advertising services are enabled, information may be disclosed to providers such as Meta for the purposes described above. Depending on applicable law, some advertising disclosures may be treated as “sharing” or targeted advertising even when no money changes hands.

Product feedback is shared with a relevant product team only when that purpose is explained when feedback is collected and the required permission has been obtained. Published feedback is anonymous unless you separately agree to the use of your name or nickname.

Your choices

You can review or change non-essential cookie choices at any time using the Cookie preferences button in the site footer. You can also use the Data sharing opt-out page, unsubscribe from tester emails, adjust browser controls, or contact us. Withdrawing consent stops future processing based on that consent but does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent or an opt-out from certain advertising disclosures. Contact us to make a request. We may need enough information to verify and complete it safely.

Retention

Tester-list and application information is deleted or anonymised when you unsubscribe, ask us to delete it, or after 24 months without activity, except for minimal suppression records and information needed for legal, security, fraud-prevention, order or record-keeping purposes. Cookie and advertising data is retained according to the applicable settings and service-provider periods.

International processing

Shopify and other service providers may process information in countries other than Singapore. We use service providers and safeguards appropriate to the services being provided and the applicable requirements.
